Abstract
Some methods and recent results of the modulation calorimetry are considered: relaxation phenomenon in specific heat, measurements of temperature fluctuations and extremely small temperature oscillations, and comparative calorimetry with a blackbody cavity. Prospects of the development and employment of modulation techniques for measuring other properties (thermal expansivity, temperature derivative of resistivity, thermopower, and spectral absorptance) are also discussed.
