Abstract
Acoustic sensors are becoming more and more applicable as a military battlefield technology. Those sensors allow a detection and direction estimation with low false alarm rate and high probability of detection. The recent technological progress related to these fields of research, together with an evolution of sophisticated algorithms, allow the successful integration of those sensors in battlefield technologies. In this paper the performances of an acoustic sensor for a detection of avionic vessels is investigated and analyzed.
