Abstract
The form (Greek text) in Lev 26,22 does not differ significantly from qal (Greek text), the KJV and JPS being more accurate than other translations. The same holds true with regard to the other biblical occurrences of hiphil (Greek text). While the transition from qal to hiphil is clearest in late Hebrew, this alone is insufficient to attribute Leviticus 26 to a late date, the phenomenon also occurring in non-Priestly texts (e.g. Exod 8,17; Kings; Amos).
