Abstract

Many students with special needs encounter difficulties in activating metacognitive self-regulation (MC regulation) processes in mathematical problem solving. So far, intervention programs for MC regulation have developed different models, which were used in the same manner for all students. Therefore, they did not consider students' needs into consideration. This paper presents a dynamic meta-cognitive selfregulation model (DMC model) of mathematical problems for students with special needs.
