Abstract
A multilink system consists of several full-duplex parallel links Thai carry data between two nodes. We construct a protocol, the MLP protocol, that simulates a single full-duplex link system. We show how synchronization is achieved, and why the existing standard for a multilink protocol fails to propose a reliable protocol. The properties that a reliable protocol must fulfill are defined and the reliability of the proposed protocol is proven.
