Abstract

This study explores chemistry teachers' formative assessment (FA) knowledge and approaches in a collaborative dynamic learning environment through professional noticing and FA frameworks. Observation worksheets and perception questionnaires were collected from 36 high school chemistry teachers. A mixed method design is employed. Five categories were identified based on the results of the teacher perception questionnaire. Furthermore, three dimensions of noticing were identified. Our study will contribute to teachers' professional knowledge about assessment and FA.
