Abstract
Music education and storytelling are significant aspects of childhood.Through stories, children acquire principles, ethics and knowledge. The aim of this study is to introduce a new theoretical method of telling a story accompanied by musical instruments. The analytical intuitional method, provides kindergarten teachers with a specific strategy to perceive and analyze a story based on three elements: information, emotions, and actions. These elements are tools to direct the teacher to merge musical instruments into the story, with no need for any previous musical background. This method is based on four stages: 1)the story selection process, 2) the story analysis process, 3) the musical instruments process, 4) expressive reading and story performance. The author argues that this method benefits both kindergarten teachers and pupils in multiple ways: 1) it deepens their understanding of the story;2) it provides more attention and focus on the story’s details ory; 3) it exposes them to educational, high-quality musical instruments; 4) it makes it possible to repeat the story without boredom. The analytical intuitional method is introduced in this theoretical article using an example story entitled Tale of Five Balloons by Miriam Rout, translated into Arabic by Rozand Daeem.
