Abstract
The article analizes Rav Soloveitchik's approach in the mid 40s of the 20th century to the unity of cognization and intellection. This issue is considered as one of Maimonides' discussions that is characterized by mystical motives. Soloveitchik thinks, that intellectual mysticism is the peak and the top of the religious consciousness. Kabbalah, in contrast, reflects the surface phase of this consciousness. Therefore Soloveitchik interprets Maimonides according to phenomenological and Neokantianic principles.
