Abstract
היישוב היהודי בחבל הארץ המכונה סוריה, ובכלל זה לבנון, הוא עתיק יומין. במאה ה-16 השתקעו משפחות מגולי ספרד בסוריה והביאו לשגשוג רוחני וכלכלי בקהילותיה היהודיות. בשונה מקהילות אחרות, עזיבת היהודים את סוריה ולבנון התרחשה בתהליך שבו חמישה שלבים עיקריים. (מתוך המאמר)
