Abstract
The purpose of the article is to examine the cultural heritage properties of two Kibbutzim, Kfar Giladi and Ayelet Hashachar, in the light of documentation prepared as part of the planning and conservation processes in both Kibbutzim. The documentation revealed the heritage of the Kibbutz ethos along with a forgotten narrative related to the influence of J.C.A. on the type of settlements and its approach to planning, which created the unique character of Kfar Giladi and Ayelet Hashahar. However, rapid development is threatening their character. New understanding of the place and its significance allows identifying the features that shape the place's identity and conserve it.
