מן ההגדרה התיאורטית של מושג הריטואל אפשר לראות כיצד הכינוי "ריטואל", שהוצמד למוספי הספרות בחגים, מקבל תוקף. מוספי הספרות בעיתונות הישראלית בתקופת חג מאופיינים בחזרתיות: הן חזרות קלנדריות, הן חזרות צורניות-ז'אנריות והן חזרות תוכניות ופרסונאליות
