Abstract
במקורות עתיקים ניתן למצוא עדויות רבות לתרומת הים להתפתחות האדם והשפעתו על אנשים. הים התיכון שימש מקור למזון ואוצרות טבע, היה ציר תחבורה חשוב וסיפק רעיונות ונכסי תרבות.
