The article deals with the texts of religious Zionists in recent years,tracing criticism regarding Freud’s theory on the structure of the soul,ranging from thought through research and including literature.Religious Zionists have reacted to the concept of psychoanalysis reticently and even in direct opposition. The rabbinical world felt that it could not ignore psychology and its underlying theory. Similar to how they dealt with scientific challenges such as evolution, leading to searching for cracks in rabbinic theory, the same is true here: religious psychologists and psychiatrists rely on psychoanalysis in their practices,while rabbis and other professionals harshly criticize it. Religious Zionism found it difficult to accept psychoanalysis as a foundational principle for looking inward at the soul: even if it is a scientific theory, it can be refuted.
