Abstract

The article discusses the essay "Be'er ha-Golah," ("The Well of the Diaspora")‪, written by 16th century Jewish rabbi and scholar Rabbi Judah Loew, known as the Maharal of Prague.‪ Topics discussed include the possibilities for understanding the name of the essay, close reading of the essay and its name, and previous scholars' understanding of the essay title.‪
