Abstract
The article discusses the essay "Be'er ha-Golah," ("The Well of the Diaspora"), written by 16th century Jewish rabbi and scholar Rabbi Judah Loew, known as the Maharal of Prague. Topics discussed include the possibilities for understanding the name of the essay, close reading of the essay and its name, and previous scholars' understanding of the essay title.
