Innovative Lecturer

A double award was presented to Dr. Noam Tafelberg for this year's Learning and Teaching Division: an award for exceptional lecturer and an award for innovative lecturer. "I believe that teaching is the process of assimilating knowledge in an active, relevant, critical, and flexible manner. To accomplish this, I cultivate a variety of skills relevant to the period, to the abilities of the students, as well as to the needs of the body of knowledge. My courses always incorporate a variety of learning methods, including flipped learning, independent learning, peer learning, synchronous, asynchronous learning, learning around projects, and a variety of formative assessment methods. Hopefully, all of these will allow each student to become more aware of themselves while learning, improving their knowledge, skills, and habits gradually, as needed."
