Academic profile:
My main field of interest is Hasidic praise literature (Shvachim). My doctoral thesis deals with this topic, which also includes a comprehensive bibliographic mapping of this literature. In my research I deal with the role of the messenger as author-creator, the connection between hagiography and the historical context, and the social and spiritual role of the Hasidic stories. I also specialize in other topics related to the Hasidic story - the popular story as a whole, the Hasidic sermon and the role of music in Hasidic culture.
