About Me

Professor (emeritus) Yossi Katz is a world-renowned expert in modern historical geography.
His many and varied studies and books focused, among other things, on the study of the history of Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel in modern times, on the plans of the Zionist establishment for the establishment of the Jewish state in the Land of Israel during the British Mandate period, on the issue of land ownership in the State of Israel, on the subject of Holocaust victims' property found in Israel, and on the study of the Hutterite communes in North America.


Along with his research and academic activities, Prof. Katz engages in many public activities for society, the state and the community. He advises on historic land costs and volunteers at Ha'Emek Hospital in Afula, and previously served as a member of the Plenum of the Nature Reserves and Gardens Authority.
