About Me

Yoram Evron is an Associate Professor of Chinese Studies and Political Science and is a faculty member of the Department of Asian Studies and a Senior Research Fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University. He previously served as the Head of the Asian Studies Department at the University of Haifa, founded and directed the China Program at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) at Tel Aviv University, and was a Visiting Scholar at the RSIS Institute at Nanyang University in Singapore and at the East-West Center in Washington. His research and teaching interests include China's military and security policy, China's foreign relations, national security and foreign relations in East Asia, China-Middle East relations, and China-Israel relations, as well as military equipment and integration of civilian technologies in the security sector.
