Head of the The Ludwig and Erica Jesselson Institute for Advanced Torah Studies Bar Ilan University,

Married and father of eight, co-founded the Torah nucleus in Lod.

Studied at the Shabbat Yisrael yeshiva in Efrat with Rabbi Shabbati Rappaport; Qualified Rabbi by the Chief Rabbinate; He served as rabbi at a yeshiva in Petach Tikva; he devoted his doctoral thesis in the Department of Israeli History at Bar Ilan University to the study of the Jewish communities in the Middle Ages.

I am focusing on teaching the history of the Jewish people , mainly the time period when the halakha was formulated- the Middle Ages, the Sages of Germany, the Tosafists of France and the Rishonim in Spain . History and events have a way of influencing the thought processes that lead to the Halakhic decisions. I also teach Talmud and Halakha , incorporating the history of the time
