About Me

I received my Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2006 and spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Eighteenth-Century Studies at Indiana University, USA. I have been a lecturer at Bar-Ilan since 2010. My research focuses on the development of the British novel in the eighteenth century, and I have recently published a book on the dead body in eighteenth-century fiction. My research interests also include gender, feminism and the interplay between canonical and popular culture. My new research project focuses on a neglected corpus of popular Gothic literature published in Britain in the 1790s.
