About Me

Dr. Yael Deutsch has a PhD and an MSc in Operations Research and Systems Analysis from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Technion, and a BSc from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Technion. Her doctoral thesis deals with the allocation of resources in a competitive environment. She then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, where she specialized in the area of facility location under failures and congestion, and how to plan efficient service systems. She is a specialist in developing mathematical models suitable for solving decision problems for practical applications, using tools of optimization, queueing theory, and game theory.

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
