About Me

Yaacov B. Yablon is an Associate Professor at the School of Education, Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He is vice director of the School of Education, head of Teacher Education Department and academic head of the National Center for Simulation in Education. He previously served as the head of the educational counselling program at the School of Education, a study director at the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities and as the Israeli national coordinator for the OECD network on school bullying and violence. He received his PhD in Education from Bar-Ilan University and was a Fulbright post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University in the Developmental Psychology Laboratory, and at the Program in Education Afterschool and Resiliency. Dr. Yablon's research areas of expertise include students at risk and, especially bullying and school violence. He studies the development of resilience among victims of school violence and the use of help-seeking and other coping strategies.
