About Me

In the past few years my academic work has involved a number of interconnecting areas which I have been exploring both in Israel and in collaboration with international colleagues: 1) Understanding risk and resiliency factors involved in adolescent immigrant well-being, risk behaviors and deviance; 2) Deepening understandings of adolescent involvement in risk behaviors and deviance, with an emphasis on predictors and cross national comparisons; 3) Theoretical conceptualization of attitudes toward immigrants and asylum seekers; 4) Theoretical understandings of clinical work with immigrants. As a clinician, I also try to include an understanding of developmental processes and intra-psychological dynamics in my research.
