About Me

Sol Efroni is a professor at the Faculty of Life Sciences in Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He Received his Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute, and did his postdoctoral research at the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Health, USA. He started his own Systems Biomedicine group at Bar-Ilan in 2009. He is studying cancer through high-throughput biology, with an emphasis on our ability to use genomic tools to quantify tumor and to quantify the immune system. His group uses molecular biology and computational biology to learn more about cancer processes and to find ways to disarm and harness complexity in biology for new biomarkers and new therapies.
