About Me

The multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary methods consistently guide my research and teaching. Adopting the economic-sociological approach to analysing historical data constantly reveals previously unexplored facets of migrants, minorities and ethnic groups in general and in Jewish groups in particular.
My studies focus mainly on: migrants, minorities and ethnic groups in various contexts; Gender, work and ethnicity; Entrepreneurship and Business History of Minorities, migrants and ethnic groups; Demography: Population analysis; Demographic and economic history of the Jews during the Middle Ages and Modern Era; Entrepreneurship and business history of Jews, refugees and indigenous Greeks in Greece from the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries up to the Holocaust; The Sephardic Diaspora.
