About Me

Neveen Ali Saleh Darawshy earned her Bachelor’s (B.A.) and Master’s (M.S.W.) degrees in social work with specialization in children and organization and management at Haifa University, School of Social Work, Faculty of Social Welfare and Health Sciences.

Neveen had a PhD in social work from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare. The PhD Dissertation title: Exposure of Arab Parents and their Children to Community Violence and its Effects: Examining Protective and Risk Factors as Moderator and Mediator Factors. Under the supervision of Professor Muhammad M. Haj-Yahia.

Dr. Ali-Saleh Darawshy finished her post-doctoral training at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Family and Social Science & Institute of Child Development (2018-2020), under the supervision of Professor Abigail Gewirtz, who also directs the Institute for Translational Research in Children’s Mental Health/ITR.
