Dr. Nadav Shifman Berman is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Jewish Philosophy, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, and at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, Yeshiva University. He is a member of the Editorial Board of The Journal of Jewish Ethics, and co-leads with Prof. Tal Zarsky an interdisciplinary ISF-funded project on the philosophy of Jewish Law vis-à-vis Law and Technology. Previously, Nadav was a Research Fellow at the University of Haifa, and had post-doctoral fellowships at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and at Yale University. His doctoral dissertation (Hebrew University, 2018) investigated philosophical links between 20th century Jewish Thought and classical American pragmatism. His MA thesis examined the philosophy of early talmudic law.
Nadav is a research fellow at the Weisfeld Maayan Center for the Study of Jewish Philosophy in the Face of Tomorrow's Sustainability Challenges at Bar-Ilan University.
