About Me

Dr Igbariya is a mediator, arbitrator, and coaching expert. Lecturer in the Conflict Management and Resolution and Negotiation Program – Bar-Ilan University. Lecturer at universities and colleges.
Specializes in the areas of understanding and applying cultural sensitivity and competence in contact between ethnic minorities in general, and in contact between the Arab minority and the Jewish majority in Israel in particular. Deals with the benefits of diversity and diversification in a population with multiple ethnic, cultural and sectarian minorities. In decision-making methods, dialogue, and negotiations among traditional conservative populations, including the Arab Muslim population. Advocates and believes in coexistence, sustainability, and solidarity based on peace, equality, and mutual respect among the various minorities in Israel. The plurality of cultural minorities in Israel is often perceived as the basis and source of tensions, conflicts, and divisions. But the opposite is true, diversity, in essence, difference, and the plurality of ethnic minorities is a source of wealth, power, efficiency, innovation, and social creativity. and culturally empowering. Most of these tensions are the product of disconnection, alienation, isolation and lack of cultural understanding, and hence of a misunderstanding of the motives, needs and interests of each cultural and ethnic group. In fact, the Arab-Jewish socio-political conflict is fundamentally a cultural conflict. Both in academia and in my practical work, I have acquired and developed advanced tools in cultural sensitivity and competence, tools that I have incorporated into my work as a mediator, trainer and arbitrator in intercultural-ethnic conflicts.
