About Me

Mois?s Orfali, former Dean of the Faculty of Jewish Studies at Bar-Ilan University, is a Professor of Jewish History at Bar-Ilan, where he holds the Rabbi Moshe Chaim Lau Chair for the Study of Leadership in Times of Crisis. He is the author of books and articles on historical and cultural aspects of Jews and Conversos in the Iberian Peninsula and the Sephardi Diaspora. In December 2005, he was appointed as a Corresponding Academic Member of the Spanish Royal Academy of History in Madrid and recently (November 2015) also of the Royal Academy of Spain.
