About Me

Dr. Michal Zelcer-Lavid is a lecturer at the Multidisciplinary B.A. Program (Liberal Arts) at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. Her current research focuses on nationalism and ethnic identity in Tibetan and Uyghur minorities, and ethnic conflicts in Asia. She has written several articles and book chapters.

Research interests: Contemporary China, Islam in China, Xinjiang, Tibet, Central Asia, Religion, and Ethnic Conflicts.
