About Me

I am an economic geographer. My research fields focus on issues of local and regional development, with specific interest in economic transformation and restructuring of the rural space, regional development in developed and developing countries, and entrepreneurial processes in rural and peripheral areas. I developed a number of international research collaborations including Tanzania, India, Romania and Poland. I served as the president of The Israeli Geographical Association and chaired the Israel National Curriculum Committee on Geography for High School. I serve as co-editor for the international journal: Journal of Rural Cooperation. I am on the editorial board of a number of international peer reviewed journals.
