About Me

Lilach Nethanel studied French Literature at Paris 8 university, France, where she recived her B.A. (2003-2005) and M.A (2005-2007). She wrote her Ph.D (2007-2011) at Bar-Ilan university under the supervision of profesor Avidov Lipsker-Albeck. Her dissertation regards the multilingual aspects of the Hebrew and Yiddish Literatures, with focus on David Vogel's prose and his late shift from Hebrew to Yiddish writing. In 2008 she published her first novel The Hebrew Condition (Babel publishing). Her second novle, The Old Home (Keter publishing) won the Bernshtein prize for literature. In 2012 she edited together with Youval Shimoni, David Vogel's novel Viennese Romance. Her book David Vogel's writing Hand: A Reflection on Writing was published in 2012 (Bar-Ilan university press). In 2012 she joined Bar-Ilan university as a lecturer in Hebrew literature. Her book Zalman Shneour is soon to be published in Mosad Bialik publishing.
