I received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1998 from Tel-Aviv University, Israel .I was a post-doctoral fellow in the computer vision group at the Weizmann institute and later I was a post doctoral fellow in the machine learning group at the University of Toronto. In 2005 I joined the engineering department at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. My work focuses on Machine Learning algorithms. My research deals with developing and analyzing novel efficient statistical algorithms for learning and inference, and applying these algorithms to a large variety of applications such as computer vision, signal processing, medical image processing and natural language processing.
