About Me

Prof. Hasson-Ohayon is a rehabilitation psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Bar-Ilan University. She is a co-director of the department's community clinic and the head of the Clinical-Rehabilitation Psychology program. In addition to conducting research, she has acted and continues to act as an academic representative on a number of national committees such as the National Committee for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Mental Disabilities and the Committee for Psychology Licensing. She also has a private clinic where she practices psychotherapy with individuals coping with a variety of illnesses and disorders. 

Research Interests:

Psychiatric rehabilitation – coping with mental illnesses,  insight, meta-cognition, self-stigma and the evaluation of psycho-social interventions and psychotherapy  in psychiatric rehabilitation.

Psycho-oncology – psychological aspects in the diagnosis, therapy and coping of cancer patients and their families
