About Me

Dr. Guy Zohar is a researcher in international relations in the Department of Political Science, Bar-Ilan University. His theoretical areas of expertise include fanaticism, the dynamics of radicalization, and conflict processes in global politics. In addition, he researches the use of simulations as a research and teaching tool in international relations. His main empirical interests are World War II, especially Nazi Germany, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. In his research, he uses a variety of research approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, and experimental methods, with an emphasis on historical in-depth research. His current research includes several topics, such as the phenomenon of barbarization in global politics, the dynamics of fanaticism in the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich, and the use of advanced technologies by extremist actors.
