I am a lecturer at the faculty of life sciences at Bar Ilan University. I received my M.Sc and Ph.D from the department of Plant Sciences at Tel Aviv University studying molecular and physiological responses of plants to drought and salinity. Between 2005 and 2010 I did my postdoc at the biochemistry department of University of Nevada in Reno where I studied involvement of reactive oxygen species (ROS) metabolism and signaling in stress acclimation responses in plants. My postdoc study was instrumental for unraveling the role of ROS in rapid long distance cell-to-cell communication in plants. In 2010 I opened my lab at Bar Ilan University studying ROS metabolism and signaling focused on: 1) rapid systemic signaling, 2) pollen response to heat stress and 3) oxidative stress in seeds.
