About Me
I am a Professor of Computer Science at Bar Ilan University. Prior to joining Bar Ilan University I was a Senior Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research and an Associate Research Fellow at the Technion, Israel.
Before then I was with Yahoo Research, the Machine Learning group at IBM Research Haifa Lab, and Rafael. I did my M.A. and Ph.D. at the Technion. The focus of my work is on using Internet data to improve health and medicine by applying tools from Machine Learning and Information Retrieval.

I use tools of Information Retrieval and Data Science to improve medicine, especially using data from the internet.
I also develop tools to nudge people to better health through personalized interventions.
My current research projects are:
- Learning health facts from user generated content (side effects of drugs, public health issues, and personal welfare)
- Nudging people to better health
