Dr. Efrat Harel completed her BA, MA, and PhD degrees, all in English Linguistics, at Bar-Ilan University. She wrote her doctoral thesis on the topic of “The Profile of Bilingual Children with Normal Language Development.” Dr. Harel holds a teaching certificate in English language teaching.

In addition to teaching English, Dr. Harel served for many years as a research assistant in projects studying bilingualism in children in the research group of Prof. Sharon Armon-Lotem, Prof. Joel Walters, Dr. Carmit Altman, and Dr. Natalia Meir. Her research work in the field of linguistics and language teaching has been published in journals, including articles dealing with international collaborations (VE) and an important article published in December 2021 in the journal Clinical Linguistics & Phonetics, which deals with updated norms for bilingual children aged five to six and a half.

Dr. Harel also teaches and researches at the Kibbutzim Seminary College in the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, where she manages collaboration with universities of education in Germany, which bring together students for English language teaching in Germany and Israel.
