Personal profile
About Me
I am a senior lecturer in the Clinical Psychology Program at Bar-Ilan University and the Director of the University’s Student Counseling Center, where I have led clinical, educational, and organizational initiatives for over two decades. My work bridges psychological practice, academic instruction, and ethical inquiry — with a particular focus on making mental health services accessible, culturally sensitive, and integrated into the broader mission of higher education. As a licensed clinical psychologist and supervisor, I train future clinicians while maintaining direct involvement in therapeutic programs that serve hundreds of students annually. I oversee a multidisciplinary staff and internship program, supervise group therapy initiatives, and lead collaborations with professional schools and licensing authorities. My academic interests include the therapeutic process, discourse analysis, and the philosophical intersections of psychology, Judaism, and ethics. In parallel, I advise Bar-Ilan’s senior leadership — including the President, Rector, and Dean of Students — on student and staff well-being, emergency mental health protocols, and institutional policy. This role has extended to leading crisis-response strategies during periods of national emergency (including wartime and the COVID-19 pandemic), as well as designing long-term resilience programs for students and staff from diverse communities, including Haredi, Arab, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ populations. I have long served as the coordinator of the Psychology Department’s "Psychology and Judaism" seminar series, which convenes scholars and practitioners to examine the moral, philosophical, and religious aspects of mental health. In addition, I lecture nationally on topics including religious identity, trauma, therapeutic ethics, and access to mental health care within closed communities. My professional path is grounded in two parallel commitments: to clinical excellence and to public responsibility. I believe in building systems of care that reflect both scientific rigor and human empathy — where therapy is not only effective, but accessible, ethical, and responsive to the social fabric in which it exists. If your work intersects with mental health, clinical training, or educational leadership, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
