About Me

Dr. Atara Isaacson Musicologist, expert in Nineteen-Century music, has a special interest in vocal genres, piano music and research into the aesthetics of the Romantic Era. Dr. Isaacson has extensive experience as a lecturer and teacher of music and pedagogy: she headed the Music Department at the Reut School of Arts, Haifa (1996-2002), and has guided teachers in the following: Alternative Teaching Methods, Navigation in the Classroom, and the Methodology of Education. She is currently a lecturer in the history of music in the Department of Music at Bar Ilan University, and serves as the Head of the Teaching Certificate program in Music Studies at the School of Education and supervises 8 doctoral students in Music Ed. and education.
