About Me

Laboratory Manager - Weiss Lab for Archaeological Botany

In addition to managing the laboratory, my main research interests are the beginning of agriculture and understanding the stages that occurred after the Agricultural Revolution.

I studied the beginning of agriculture in the PPNA Gilgal, as well as the reconstruction of the landscape and nutrition of the PPNC Atlit-Yam submerged site. I also studied the botanical find that was destroyed during Sennacherib’s war campaign which was exposed in a pantry in the Tel ‘Eton excavations from the Iron Age II, and finds from the Judean Desert Caves from the days of Bar-Kokhba. I participated in different excavations, such as at Tel ‘Eton and the Yoram Cave, which are fascinating sites, rich with botanical finds.
