About Me
Amit Tzur is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of life Sciences of Bar-Ilan University in Israel. He received his PhD in Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. After a post-doctoral training at the Systems Biology Department of Harvard Medical School, Amit established his lab in Bar Ilan University.
Amit holds a tenure track position since October 2010, and he is a member of the Bar Ilan Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA) and the Israeli Center of Research Excellence (I-CORE): Gene Regulation in Complex Human Disease. His area of interest is physiological and molecular dynamics in proliferating mammalian cells. The lab combines cell biological, molecular biological, biochemical approaches with proteomics and genomics tools, and advanced imaging and cytometry techniques to address decision-making circuits associated with cell cycle/cell division regulation and cell size homeostasis.
