About Me

Dr. Alon Levkowitz is Senior Lecturer at the Asian Studies Program at Bar-Ilan University and researcher at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University. He is also a senior lecturer and the Chair of Social Science and Civics department at Beit Berl College,  His research focuses on politics and foreign relations in East Asia, the Korean foreign and security policy, and Northeast Asian security. His current projects focus on the: North Korean military cooperation with Middle Eastern states; the economic and diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Middle East relations, South Korea's African policy and the North Korean missile industry. He has published articles in number of academic journals including International Relations of the Asia PacificThe Korean Journal of Defense Analysis, Defense and Peace Economics, Middle East and Policy Studies, Military & Strategic Affairs, BESA Perspectives Papers and chapters on Korean Peninsula foreign in several edited volumes.
