About Me

Prof. Adina Shamir is the head of Special Education Program and the head of the PhD committee, the School of Education, Bar-Ilan University, Israel. Her work and publications reflect an interdisciplinary approach that combines technology, special education and early childhood education. Her work has been published in several refereed Journals, with findings presented in various forums. She co-edited two specials issues and She has also co-edited a book entitled Technology as a support for literacy achievements of students at risk, published by Springer. As an active member of international organizations she served as Head of the Special Interest Group on Children with Special Needs (EARLI), during 2007-2011. She was also the president of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology (IACEP) until 2015.
