About Me

Scholarly Interests

 My research focuses on the intellectual and social history of Jewish religious movements and religious responses to secularization and assimilation in modern and contemporary North America, Europe and Israel.  Much of my work has concentrated on the evolution of Orthodox Judaism, the interface of Jewish law and social contexts, and the history of the rabbinate.

In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):

  • SDG 5 - Gender Equality
