I am interested in the relationship between perception and the psyche, art art and psychoanalysis, visual culture and religion.

She is the author of, most recently, Drawing the Iron Curtain: Jews and the Golden Age of Soviet Animation.

Previously Professor of Art History at Touro College in Manhattan. She is the author of The Visual Culture of Chabad (Cambridge, 2010) and Drawing the Iron Curtain: Jews and the Golden Age of Soviet Animation (Rutgers, 2016).
