Organization profile
The Halpern Center for the Study of Consciousness According to Judaism was founded in 1998 with a generous donation of the estate of the late Professor Mordechai Yosef Halpern. The Center's activity is multidisciplinary in nature, it focuses on promoting the study of consciousness in the broadest sense and in the full range of its ties to Judaism and strives to generate discourse and promote research in all disciplines that relate to this subject. The Center is located in Israel and Golda Koschitzky Department of Jewish History and Contemporary Jewry, at the Faculty of Jewish Studies, and is headed by Prof. Kimmy Kaplan.
