The Dr. Zerach Verhaftig Institute for the Study of Religious Zionism, the Yosef Orgler Chair in Religious Zionism and the Yona Kirschenbaum Archive for the Study of Religious Zionism constitute a research center for religious Zionism. The primary goal of the institute, when it was established in 1972, was to study religious Zionism in Poland and to publish the writings of Rabbi Meir Bar-Ilan.

Management of the institute

Like many university institutes, over the years the institute has been headed by a number of university faculty members who have worked in the field. The institute was founded by Prof. Avraham Chaim Rubinstein together with Dr. Zerach Verhaftig, who has been involved in the absorption of archives and collections that contain certificates, particulars, diaries, photos and correspondence from various people and from various institutions housed in the archive. , Its institutions and organizations.

The history of religious Zionism and its connection to general Zionism, the development of philosophical thought of religious Zionism, literature and Jewish art in religious Zionism, Jewish education and in particular religious Zionism in Israel and the Diaspora, geographical, local, social and economic aspects of religious Zionist society.

Institute activities:

The Yona Kirschenbaum Institute for the Study of Religious Zionism also operates within the institute.
