How do biblical narratives shape our understanding of contemporary conflicts? Can Talmudic reasoning enrich ethical debates in the digital age? What is the connection between Jewish philosophy and the Zionist enterprise? And how does Hebrew literature reflect and shape personal and national identity? 

The Helene & Paul Shulman School for  Basic Jewish Studies offers an in-depth, multidisciplinary academic experience that blends rigorous scholarship with contemporary interpretation and historical analysis with pressing modern questions. Our courses provide tools for critical thinking and diverse perspectives, fostering an open and inspiring dialogue with the world of Jewish thought and ideas.

The Helene & Paul Shulman School for  Basic Jewish Studies provides the University's students with basic knowledge in the central fields of Jewish Studies through academic courses.

The courses are taught in Tanach, Talmud, Jewish Philosophy and Jewish History.

In addition to the regular frontal teaching courses, there are also internet courses which are taught.
