My project addresses the fundamental issues of politicians' blocking habits on Facebook through the case study of Israeli Parliament Members.
The issue corresponds with the key area of the evolving digital society as it refers both to power structures as well as to new forms of governance.
The platform's rules affect the way a discourse between elected representatives and citizens is being facilitated. Not only that the platform does not serve as a neutral ground but it also advantages and empowers the political actors on the ‘simple users' account.
